United States of America Customs Clearance
Customers must be present in the USA at the time of the arrival of their shipment. Personal effects are cleared through customs at the port of entry and not at the agents warehouse. Personal effects should be allowed duty free entry into the USA provided the shipment is supported with the correct paperwork and you have permission to live in the USA.
Due to the very strict customs controls in place we do require ALL of the documents to be completed and in our possession before we can release consignments for shipment. Unless otherwise stated customs clearance charges included within our quotations is based on a normal customs procedure.
If however US customs require further examination or require the consignment to be x-rayed then additional charges will be incurred and these will be billed to you directly from our agents.
We do not accept any food items including alcohol for all shipments to the US. Customs restricted items in shipments will cause delays and additional charges, which will be for your account.
Documents
All shipments MUST be accompanied by a full set of customs documents as listed below. Any consignments without a full set of completed documents will be held in the UK with storage charges applicable.
The following documents are required.
1) photocopy of the picture page of your passport
2) photocopy of visa page of passport (non USA passport holders)
3) copy of green card if applicable
4) US Power of Attorney form
5) US Customs Form 3299
6) US Treasury Department Supplemental Declaration
